IIT Bombay MBA: Admission Process 2024

The IIT Bombay admission MBA program is an online process conducted through the university’s official website. The MBA admission is determined by the national-level entrance examination CAT, which is subsequently followed by various rounds of counselling and interviews. Students aspiring to gain admission to IIT Bombay MBA courses must meet the minimum eligibility criteria. The selection rounds of the IIT Bombay MBA comprise entrance exams, counselling rounds, written tests, and a few rounds of interviews. The final admissions to SJMSOM are determined by the combined score of the CAT and PI that candidates gain. Here is the IIT Bombay MBA admission process that candidates need to follow.

  • Candidates must appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024, which is conducted annually by the IIMs.
  • Go to http://www.som.iitb.ac.in/ and click on the MBA  ADMISSIONS tab.

  • Click “ONLINE Application” on the MBA ONLINE Application Homepage.
  • Click on the button "New User and then Click to Register", on the  IIT Bombay MBA registration page.
  • Enter the e-mail id (to be used for login) and click on the "Register" icon.
  • An email with the activation URL will be sent to the email specified by the candidate. Kindly click on the activation URL within 12 hours and fill in the details as directed.
  • Fill up all details and submit. The registration process will be completed ONLY after the successful submission of personal details. Click Register once all the details are filled in.
  • Login using the e-mail ID used for registration to access the ONLINE application form.
  • The candidates should fill up all the mandatory details. Click on “Fill Form” to start filling out the online application form.
  • Click on the 'Submit Finally' button once the application form is filled.
  • Then click on “Go to Registered Applicant Page” to upload all the documents required in a specific format.
  • Upload documents using the "Upload Documents" link. Upload appropriate files in the respective fields.
